After frustrating the West Indies bowlers with his grit and stroke play, promising Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal finally lost his wicket in the first session on day three of the Test match. Jaiswal, who struck a flamboyant 171, fell prey to Alzarri Joseph, who caught the southpaw off guard with a beautiful away-going delivery.

The incident took place in the 126th over of the Indian innings when West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite brought Joseph in a bid to break the smooth-sailing third wicket stand between Jaiswal and Virat Kohli. The move paid off, as the experienced speedster removed Jaiswal, preventing him from scripting history by slamming his maiden double-ton on Test debut.

After keeping it tight in the first five deliveries, Joseph induced an edge, providing the hosts with a priceless breakthrough to conclude the over.

Earlier, Jaiswal etched his name in history books by becoming the third Indian batter to notch up 150 on Test debut. His glorious innings, studded with sixteen fours and a solitary six, spoke volumes for his skillset.

Meanwhile, India lost another wicket in the form of their vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, who fell cheaply off Kemar Roach's bowling by playing a loose shot. As of writing, the visitors are marching towards a mammoth first-innings total, placed at 356 for four, with Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja batting on 49* and nought, respectively.
