Indian wicket keeper Ishan Kishan had a decent day out behind the stumps on his maiden day in Test cricket.
On a pitch where the spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja extracted a prodigious turn, Ishan managed to hold onto his own with minimum errors.
Kishan was also very chirpy behind the stumps, frequently engaging in banter with the close-in fielders, while also giving his inputs to the fielders and the bowler.
The stump mic caught plenty of such instances. In one such instance, Ishan could be seen joking with debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal.
In the clip, Kishan jokingly alerted his fellow debutant that Rohit will again abuse him.

Meanwhile, Ishan claimed a brilliant diving catch off Shardul Thakur's bowling to claim his first dismissal in Test cricket. He then backed it up with another good catch of keeper Joshua Da Silva off Ravindra Jadeja.
Speaking of the other debutant, Yashasvi Jaiswal completed his maiden half-century in Test cricket on the second morning of the Dominica Test to once again assert that he is the next big thing in international cricket.
The southpaw showcased his full range of strokes, and his exceptional temperament, especially against off-spinner Rahkeem Cornwal, who constantly got the ball to turn and bounce to beat his outside edge constantly.
At the time of writing, India had moved on to 148/0, with both openers past the 50-run mark.
