[Watch] 'What Do You Think?' - Rohit Sharma Teases Umpire Over A Review; Leaves Commentators In Splits

Hailed as a powerful hitter of the ball, Indian captain Rohit Sharma is also one of the funniest cricketers going around. Ask his team-mates and they would agree without thinking twice. The 36-year-old veteran batter often shows his funny side on the cricket field and during the press conferences as well.

The Indian captain was quite relieved after India had picked the wicket of Joe Root for just 5 runs in the 26th over on Saturday. He was delighted with the fact that India fought back by picking two important wickets in a short space of time.

On the very next ball of the same over, Bumrah bowled a lethal yorker to Bairstow. The England batter was late to play that and the ball had hit his boots before going towards backward square leg region. Indians appealed for leg-before but the umpire gave it leg-byes.

The bowler was interested in taking the review and looked towards his captain. A confused Rohit Sharma instead hilariously asked the umpire Marius Erasmus about his take on the LBW appeal. The commentators too enjoyed the conversation and shared a laugh.

Here’s a look at the video:

Rohit Sharma got out cheaply on 14 in the 2nd Test against England

Indian captain, once again, got out cheaply in the first innings of the second Test match in Visakhapatnam. He was quite watchful during his innings and took minimal risk. The Hitman, however, couldn’t stay for too long, getting out on 14 off 41 deliveries off Shoaib Bashir

In the absence of senior players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, Indian captain Rohit Sharma was expected to contribute significantly with the bat. However, he failed to make an impact.

Despite falling cheaply in the second Test match, India managed to score a big total of 396 runs in the first innings, courtesy of a sensational double-century from Yashasvi Jaiswal. The southpaw amassed 209 runs in 290 balls, including 19 fours and 7 sixes.

England, in reply, are currently in all sorts of trouble, getting all-out for 253, thanks to Jasprit Bumrah's remarkable six-wicket haul.
