Young Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Manoj Bhandage was impressive in Mysore Warriors' ongoing clash against Hubli Tigers in the Maharaja Trophy 2024.

Batting at six as a finisher, Bhandage struck a quick-fire cameo to help his side post a competitive total. He smashed 26 runs off just 11 deliveries with the help of two boundaries and as many sixes.

Known for his aggressive batting, Manoj Bhandage even didn't spare Hubli's premier pacer, Vidhwath Kaverappa, hammering him for a massive six during his brief stay.

The incident occurred during the 17th over of Mysore Warriors' innings when Bhandage had just joined S.U. Karthik in the middle following Sumit Kumar's dismissal.

As Kaverappa came to bowl the third over of his spell, Bhandage took him on right from the beginning.

The right-arm pacer, who plays for Punjab Kings in the IPL, bowled a good length delivery outside the off stump.

However, he ended up bowling in Bhandage's arc, as the batter cleared his front leg to dispatch the ball over the wide long-on fence for a gigantic maximum.

After hitting one more six off Kumar LR, Bhandage was dismissed by ace spinner KC Cariappa in the penultimate over.

Mysore Warriors set a challenging target for Hubli Tigers

Despite losing their skipper and in-form batter Karun Nair cheaply, Mysore Warriors powered themselves to a defendable 177-run total, thanks to a valiant half-century from S.U. Karthik and useful contributions from Bhandage and Sharath. In reply, Hubli Tigers were 11 for no loss in 1.3 overs as of writing.
