Bangladesh's star bowling all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz had a memorable outing on Saturday, as he claimed a clinical five-wicket haul in the ongoing second Test against Pakistan at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Mehidy's phenomenal bowling performance restricted the hosts to 274 runs in their first innings.

The right-arm off-spinner began his onslaught on the hosts by dismissing skipper Shan Masood in the 28th over. A few overs later, he outfoxed opener Saim Ayub, who was stumped by Litton Das for 58.

If this wasn't enough, Miraz returned to haunt Pakistan with his wily spin bowling, wrapping up their tail in quick succession during the final session.

After making Khurram Shahzad his third victim, he got rid of Mohammad Ali to push Pakistan down on the mat.

However, Abrar Ahmed's wicket was like icing on the cake, as it helped him complete a memorable fifer on Pakistan soil.

The incident occurred during the 86th over of Pakistan's first innings when Abrar and Mir Hamza were trying to add some valuable runs to their tally. Miraz bowled a tossed-up delivery from over the wicket, deceiving Abrar with his flight.

As the right-handed batter charged down the track to play an aggressive aerial shot, he was beaten comprehensively.

Bangladesh's wicket-keeper Litton Das did the rest, as he collected the ball cleanly and dislodged the bails in time to send Abrar packing.

Thus, Mehidy Hasan Miraz registered impressive bowling figures of 5/61, the second-best by a Bangladesh bowler against Pakistan in their backyard in Test cricket.

His stellar show with the ball ensured Shan Masood and co didn't breach the 300-run mark despite being in a commanding position at one stage.
