After being nearly perfect for the entirety of the tournament, the man in-form, Karun Nair failed to impress in the semi-finals of the Maharaja T20 2024.

Nair has been a revelation in the Maharaja T20 2024. Eyeing to make a comeback in the Indian national team, Nair has been sensational with the bat and has almost single-handedly taken his team to the semi-finals.

However, when it mattered the most, he disappointed and was dismissed for just 4 runs on the board. His side, Mysore Warriors had lost an early wicket when Nair came into bat at number 3. A lot was expected of the experienced batter, but one false shot and he had to walk back to the pavilion.

Kumar LR, the Hubli Tigers bowler, delivered a length ball, almost on the leg side as Nair looks to tuck it away, but instead, gets a leading-edge towards the point region. The fielder there sprints back and takes a simple catch in the end as a disappointing batter had to walk back.

Nair has been superb in Maharaja T20 2024

Despite a failure in the semi-finale, Nair has been outstanding throughout the tournament. He is the second-highest run-getter in the competition (494 runs) in 11 matches, and has a healthy strike-rate of 187.12.

The talented batter also has a century under his belt as he vows to make a comeback in the Indian team. The forgotten hero of the Test side, had scored a triple century against England in 2016, but since then, has been a lost product in the Indian domestic setup.
