Former India skipper Virat Kohli justified why he is referred to as the 'King of Cricket' as he pulled India out of a crunch situation against South Africa in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 final at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

Virat, who was struggling in this tournament with just 75 runs in seven games, rose to the occasion, as he started his knock with three fours off Marco Jansen in the first over. India, then lost three wickets in quick succession, which is why Virat played the role of an anchor.

He stitched a 72-run stand with Axar Patel and also completed his first fifty of the T20 World Cup 2024. Kohli shifted gears in the death overs and after a six and four off Marco Jansen, Virat lost his wicket.

On the 5th ball of the 19th over, Virat tried to hit Jansen for another six, but could not clear it away from Kagiso Rabada, who was standing at the ropes and took an easy catch.
