The Women's Premier League has reached its climax, with just one grand finale left. Following a hard-fought victory in the closely contested eliminator, the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women are poised to take on the table-toppers and direct finalists, the Delhi Capitals, in the tournament's finals. 

Ahead of the crucial matchup, the skipper of the Delhi Capitals men's team, Rishabh Pant, along with coach Ricky Ponting, extended their best wishes to their side.

In the video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Ricky Ponting praised the Delhi Capitals Women's side as the best in the business and urged them to bring home the title. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant encouraged the team to enjoy the finals and give their all, emphasizing the importance of giving 100%.

The finals between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Delhi Capitals is scheduled to take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on 17th March. Neither team has won the title across the IPL verse, making it a potential historic first for the winning side.

Will Rishabh Pant play in the Indian Premier League? 

Rishabh Pant is set to make his much-anticipated return to the cricket circuit after recovering from an injury that occurred 18 months ago. The player has received clearance from the National Cricket Academy, much to the delight of fans and himself. 

Speaking to the media, Pant expressed his excitement about returning to the pitch, admitting to feeling nervous and likening the experience to making his debut all over again.

“I’m excited and nervous at the same time. It feels like I’m going to make my debut again."

Under the guidance of Ricky Ponting, the Delhi Capitals will kick off their 2024 campaign against the Punjab Kings on Matchday 2 of the season. The match will take place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium on 23rd of March.
