A day after Mumbai Indians slumped to a narrow six-run defeat to Gujarat Titans in match number five of the IPL 2024 season, the five-time IPL winning franchise immersed itself in the festive spirit of Holi celebration.

Newly-appointed skipper Hardik Pandya, former captain Rohit Sharma celebrated the festival of colors alongside their teammates as well as their loved ones on their day-off prior to the team’s next IPL 2024 chapter against SRH.

Moreover, Pandya was even spotted celebrating the occasion alongside Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh, despite all the recent controversies surrounding the captaincy charge of Mumbai Indians.

During Mumbai Indians Holi celebration on March 25, captain Hardik Pandya was spotted charging up to Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh and their daughter Samaira and playfully greeted the two in festive spirit.

Pandya’s genuine celebration seems to have won over a number of Rohit Sharma fans around the web, considering the two cricketers are reportedly at loggerheads over Mumbai Indians’ captaincy issue.

Late last year, the Mumbai Indians team management acquired Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans and made him the new captain of the franchise, thus replacing decade-long and five-time IPL winning skipper Rohit Sharma.

While the exact reason behind the radical change was never determined, Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh alleged foul play within the management through a cryptic comment on social media back in February this year.

As of now, the Mumbai Indians franchise is gearing up to face the SRH in Hyderabad on March 27 for their subsequent IPL 2024 challenge.
