[Watch] Uganda Batter Takes 'Worst DRS Of T20 World Cup' As Southee Traps Him Plumb In Front

Riding on the seamers' exceptional performance, New Zealand had an extraordinary start to their third T20 World Cup 2024 match against Uganda.

After Trent Boult wreaked havoc in the Uganda camp with two strikes in his first over, veteran pacer Tim Southee got rid of Alpesh Ramjani in the second over of his spell.

The incident occurred during the fourth over of Uganda's innings when they already had a shaky start, courtesy of Boult's tremendous opening over. Bowling his second over, Southee had a remarkable start, keeping the Uganda batters quiet on his first three deliveries.

His fourth ball was a booming in-swinger that came back into Ramjani and struck him on his front pad. As soon as the Kiwis appealed for an LBW, the on-field umpire raised his finger, declaring the batter out without any hesitation.

However, despite being trapped in front of the stumps, Ramjani went upstairs to challenge the decision.

It turned out to be one of the worst DRS reviews this World Cup, with the third umpire upholding the on-field decision upon seein three reds in the HawkEye.

Meanwhile, riding on Boult and Southee's clinical new ball performance, New Zealand have reduced Uganda to eight for three in 5.4 overs.
