England had a phenomenal outing in their third group-stage game of the T20 World Cup as they crushed Oman by eight wickets. Bowling first, England restricted Oman to a paltry 47-run total, thanks to a superb collective effort from Adil Rashid, Jofra Archer and Mark Wood.

In response, the Englishmen chased the total in a hurry, with Jos Buttler's breezy eight-ball 24* leading them to a commendable victory.

Despite losing Philip Salt and Will Jacks in quick succession, Buttler continued his onslaught on the Oman bowlers to help his side get over the line in a flash. He took a particular liking for Oman's left-arm pacer Bilal Khan, smashing him for twenty-two runs in an over.

The incident occurred during the third over of England's innings when Buttler was just joined by Jonny Bairstow following Jacks' cheap dismissal.

Buttler showed remarkable form right from the beginning, dispatching three of Bilal's first four balls to the fence for four runs.

As if that wasn't enough, the English skipper pulled the seamer for a huge six before concluding the over with another boundary. His blazing cameo powered England to victory as they chased the total in 3.1 overs.

With this win, England increased their tally to three points, with a Net Run Rate significantly better than Scotland's. If the Scottish side loses against Australia, the English will need only a win against Namibia to make it into the Super Eights.
