Tim David has been facing lot of criticism in recent times for lack of runs with the bat and in the first T20I against England at Rose Bowl, he once again failed and departed for a golden duck. However, he gave his all on the field and grabbed a stunning catch of Jordan Cox to leave everyone on the ground awestruck.

It was the third delivery of the fifth over and Xavier Barlett bowled it on a length, on off. A slower delivery and Cox went for a wild slog. He did not time it perfectly, but it seemed that the ball will land in no man's area.

However, Tim David had other plans, he ran all the way to deep mid-wicket from mid on, kept his eyes on the ball and then dived full-length to fetch it with both hands.

The wicket of Cox was an important one for Australia and England just kept losing wickets at regular intervals after that and were eventually bowled out for 151, losing the game by 28 runs.

Sean Abbott picked three wickets while Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa got two wickets apiece, and apart from Liam Livingstone, England batters just were not upto the mark on the day.

Travis Head Takes Australia to A Blistering Start

Earlier, Australia scored 179 while batting first courtesy a scintillating knock of 59 from 23 balls by Travis Head. He smashed 30 runs in one over against Sam Curran and the likes of Short and Inglis also played handy knocks at the top. Australia at one point in time looked good for a score above 200. However, England bowlers came back strongly and even got three-in-three at the death to keep Australia in check. The visitors though still managed to clinch a win and would now be looking to seal the series at Cardiff on Friday.
