India have started the second ODI against Sri Lanka on a high, as Mohammed Siraj, who has made a name for himself to perform against the Island Nation, drew the first blood for the Men in Blue on the first ball of the match. 

On the first delivery, Siraj pitched a good length delivery, that moved away from Nissanka. Meanwhile, KL Rahul made no mistake behind the stumps and took a comfortable catch.

Nissanka, who scored a fifty in the first game, registered a golden duck in this match.

In the first match, Siraj also took the first wicket and registered the figures of 1/36 in his eight overs.

The first match resulted in a tie after India failed to chase one run with two wickets in hand. Siraj was left stranded on the non-striker's end and was devastated by the result. 

Siraj haunted the Lankans for the first time when he faced them in the 2023 Asia Cup final, where he took a six-wicket haul, including four wickets in a single over.

Following that performance, he also took three wickets in the 2023 World Cup match against the Island Nation.
