Riding on bowlers' exceptional performance, India bundled Pakistan out for a paltry 191-run total in their third World Cup match in Ahmedabad. Chasing 192, India got off to a dream start as Rohit Sharma hit a glorious boundary off Shaheen Afridi to open his account. If that wasn't enough, Sharma's opening partner Shubman Gill demoralised Afridi with a gorgeous cover drive in the third delivery of his over.

It was a full length delivery from Afridi which went away from the batter with the angle. Gill went for a drive and timed it beautifully as the ball beat Babar Azam and raced to the fence for four runs.

After hitting Afridi for a four, Gill went berserk against Hasan Ali, smashing him for three more glorious boundaries to help India get a flying start.

However, he couldn't convert his start into a big score, losing his wicket to Afridi for 16. Legendary batter Virat Kohli joined the middle to bat alongside Sharma following Gill's departure. As of writing, India are in the driving seat, well-placed at 32 for one in 4 overs, with Sharma and Kohli batting on 14* and 1*, respectively.
