The young Indian team arrived in Zimbabwe on the back of India's World Cup win in Barbados and were expected to dominate the home team. 

However, after a good performance with the ball, the batters have failed big time with six wickets down under 50. Shubman Gill stayed in the crease for the long time, but his knock was cut short by Sikandar Raza to leave India reeling in the first T20I.

Gill's wicket came on the second delivery of the 11th over and it was fired quick and flat from Sikandar Raza. It was on off and middle stump line and the Indian captain tried to work it towards the leg side. The ball missed the inside edge of his blade and the ball deflected of his pad and knocked over the off-pole.

It was a disaster for India, and India soon lost their seventh wicket and it is turning out to be quite an anti-climax after the Euphoria of the T20 World Cup win.

Earlier, Zimbabwe scored 115 on the board while batting first, and India were expected to cruise to the target, but they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and are now on the brink of a defeat against a young and inexperienced Zimbabwe unit.
