Riyan Parag departs cheaply [X.com]
India's debutant, Riyan Parag, faced a challenging start during the first match of the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club on Saturday (June 6).
Chasing a modest target of 116 set by Zimbabwe, India found themselves in trouble early on, with wickets tumbling to 22 for four.
The first to fall was Abhishek Sharma, dismissed for a duck. The pivotal moment came in the fifth over when debutant Parag had to depart early, courtesy of a brilliant delivery from Tendai Chatara.
Chatara, bowling a good length delivery on the fifth stump line, extracted extra bounce, which led Parag to mistime his shot.

Attempting to lift it over mid-off, Parag got it high on the bat. Mavuta, positioned inside the ring, moved swiftly to his left and executed a low diving catch.
The miscued shot resulted in Parag's dismissal for 2 runs off 3 balls, marking a disappointing debut.
At the time of writing, India is struggling at 24 for 4 in 6 overs, with Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel at the crease, attempting to stabilize the innings and build a recovery.
