In the 1st T20I match of the five-match series at Harare Sports Club on July 6, Avesh Khan showcased his stellar form, playing a pivotal role in India's dominant performance against Zimbabwe.

Opting to bowl first, India capitalized on early breakthroughs, removing half of the Zimbabwean side swiftly.

Avesh Khan's moment of brilliance came when he dismissed Zimbabwean captain Sikandar Raza, a critical wicket that bolstered India's control over the game.

In the very next over, a remarkable fielding effort saw Washington Sundar and Avesh Khan combine for a spectacular run-out of Johnathan Campbell.

The run-out occurred in the 12th over when Avesh delivered a back-of-a-length ball on the middle stump. Campbell, attempting a late back-foot shot, chopped the ball in front of backward point. Sundar, quick to react, retrieved the ball and strategically looped it to Avesh Khan at the non-striker's end.

In the ensuing chaos, Myers sprinted to the striker's end while Campbell lingered just outside his crease. Avesh swiftly removed the bails, and the TV umpire confirmed Campbell's dismissal after a couple of replays, marking a golden duck for Campbell.

This brilliant fielding display further demoralized Zimbabwe, who struggled to set a competitive target. Ultimately, Zimbabwe could only muster 116 runs, a below-par score for India to chase.
