The ongoing second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh witnessed a game-changing moment as Saim Ayub, who was in good form, recklessly threw his wicket away. At the time of his departure, Pakistan was in a strong position, with Ayub having scored 58 runs. However, his departure shifted the momentum slightly in Bangladesh's favour.

Previously, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, displaying his exceptional skill, also removed captain Shan Masood, showing that he is in great rhythm.

In the 34th over, Miraz bowled a flighted delivery on the stumps. Ayub charged down the track and went for a big shot however miscalculated and played the wrong line. The keeper, Litton Das, collected the ball and whipped off the bails in a jiffy.

However, the on-field umpire requested the third umpire to check it, and as the replays showed Ayub was well outside the crease and the keeper collected the ball cleanly. Thus, Saim Ayub had to walk back to the pavilion.

Pakistan lose two quick wickets as Babar, Shakeel take over

Earlier in the game, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl first. Taskin Ahmed made the first breakthrough and Abdullah Shafique departed for a six-ball duck. Both Saim Ayub and Shan Masood held their ground as they took control and recovered well from that initial set-back, and added an unbeaten 107-run partnership.

However, it was only a matter of time as immediately after lunch, Miraz removed Shan Masood. At the time of writing, Pakistan is at 151/3 with Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel going strong out in the middle.
