The second Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan witnessed a pivotal moment when Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed the second wicket of the day, dismissing Pakistan's Test captain, Shan Masood, who had scored a commendable 57 off 69 balls.

Masood's wicket, a result of Miraz's skilful bowling, marked a significant turn in the match. During his time at the crease, Masood had slammed two boundaries and formed a crucial 107-run partnership with Saim Ayub.

In the 28th over, Miraz delivered a ball that seemed to be drifting on the middle and leg stump line. Masood, attempting to tuck it into the leg side, was surprised as the ball straightened up and thudded his pads.

Unhappy with the LBW decision, Masood challenged it, only to see the UltraEdge indicating a flat line and the ball tracking showing three reds. This unexpected turn of events forced the Pakistani skipper to walk back, and Miraz drew the first blood of the session.

Bangladesh Jolt Pakistan With Post-Lunch Heroics

Meanwhile, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl first. The inclusion of Taskin Ahmed did early wonders for Bangladesh as he struck early on and removed Abdullah Shafique for a duck. Both Saim Ayub and Shan Masood held their ground as they took control and recovered well from that initial set-back, and added an unbeaten 107-run partnership.

However, it was only a matter of time as immediately after lunch, Miraz removed Shan Masood. At the time of writing, Pakistan is at 119/2 with Babar Azam and Saim Ayub out in the middle.
