After a washout on Day 1, the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh is underway at the Rawalpindi Stadium. The visitors won the toss and asked the hosts to bat first.

Pakistan, who are trailing 0-1 in the ongoing series, got off to the worst possible start, as Abdullah Shafique registered a six-ball duck.

Tasking Ahmed again starred with the ball and spread his magic early on in the innings. On the last ball of the first over, Taskin bowled a beautiful delivery that nibbed back in and left Shafique clueless.

The good-length delivery swung back in and rattled Shafique's stump.

Abdullah Shafique is having a series to forget as he is yet to breach the fifty-run mark so far. In the first Test match, the right-hand batter scored 2 and 37. Thus, failing to provide the platform that Pakistan are craving for in this series.

It is worth noting that Taskin, who was not a part of the first Test, is playing his first red-ball game after a gap of more than a year. He last featured against Afghanistan in June 2023.

Why Did Taskin Ahmed Not Play The First Test vs Pakistan?

Bangladesh's bowling talisman has been suffering from a shoulder injury for a prolonged period, which is why he even contemplated about retiring from Test cricket in February 2024. However, he continued and there were reports that he might feature in the ongoing series, but had to sit out from the first game because of the injury.

Nonetheless, Ahmed struck in the very first over he bowled in his return to Test cricket.
