Young Indian batter Musheer Khan had a memorable outing on the field, as he smashed a valiant ton for India B in their ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 clash against India A at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The promising batter showcased his skills in the all-important fixture, bailing India B out of trouble with his magnificent performance.

The incident occurred during the 74th over of India B's first innings when Musheer Khan had already formed a valuable eighth-wicket stand with Navdeep Saini. India A skipper Shubman Gill handed the ball to ace wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav in order to break the partnership.

However, his tactical move didn't bring any positive result for India A, as Musheer perfectly played out the over. After scoring two runs off the first ball, the gritty right-handed batter played four consecutive dots before closing the deal with a single off the last delivery.

From over the wicket, Kuldeep bowled a full-length delivery around the leg stump, with Musheer clipping it between the square leg and mid-wicket. There was an appeal for a runout as soon as Navdeep Saini reached the striker's end. But, the fast bowler had made his ground, helping Musheer complete his century with that run.

Musheer's hundred ensures a respectable score for India B

After India A skipper Shubman Gill opted to bowl first, India B had a cautious start, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Abhimanyu Easwaran adding 33 runs for the first wicket. However, Easwaran's dismissal opened the floodgates for India B, as they lost wickets regularly to find themselves tottering at 94 for seven.

But, fortunately for India B, Musheer Khan oozed his class with the bat, stitching a vital unbeaten stand with Saini for the eighth wicket. The duo's commendable batting effort ensured India B had no further hiccups, finishing the day with 202 runs on the board in their first innings.
