Sanju Samson has started IPL 2024 with a bang! Rajasthan Royals won the toss and decided to bat first and Sanju as a captain, has led from the front with an unbeaten 82 off 52 balls. He hit three fours and six sixes in his knock but the best maximum came in the last over when he slammed Mohsin Khan for a six off the backfoot over long off.

The RR skipper came out to bat in the second over with Buttler departing cheaply and displayed great maturity as he paced his knock to perfection. RR lost Yashasvi inside the Powerplay as well but then came the 93-run stand with Riyan Parag and Sanju made sure to bat till the end as RR scored 193 in their 20 overs.

Talking about the six of the last over against Mohsin Khan, it was a shortish delivery, around off. Samson stayed very deep in his crease and played a stunning backfoot punch over long off.

His knock has put RR in a very strong position and all Sanju fans would be hoping that he continues his great form throughout the season, and make a strong claim for that wicketkeeper spot in the T20 World Cup.
