Rohit Sharma,  a superstar in Indian cricket, made a legacy of success with his sensational batting prowess and leadership quality.

As one of the most successful players in Indian cricket history, his methodical preparation before each game remains a subject of intrigue.

In his latest statements, Rohit sheds light on the preparations he undertakes before stepping onto the field, offering valuable insights for aspiring cricketers and fans alike.

The new MI & same old Hitman

It marks a new era for Mumbai Indians as Hardik Pandya leads the team onto the field instead of Rohit Sharma, who has done so for the past 11 seasons.

It's a significant change, especially since Rohit, the Indian captain, is still part of the team. However, Rohit, known for his professionalism, remains focused. He understands his role and he shared insights into his mental and physical preparation.

“I think for me preparation has always been the key and gives me a lot of confidence going into any game. So yeah, there are a lot of things that I do before a game and I think I’ve done almost everything now, just a few things here and there, which is left and I will do it now and I’ll be ready for the game,” Rohit said in a recent interview with MI.

In the upcoming IPL, Rohit Sharma aims to show that he's fit and ready to shine in the T20 World Cup. With Hardik leading the team, Rohit feels less pressure, giving him room to focus on his batting.

He hasn't performed  with bat as well in the IPL recently to his standards, but this season, he can concentrate fully on his batting and prepare for the important T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies.

MI will face GT today at Ahmedabad. They met last at last year's qualifier 2 at the same ground where Shubman Gill thrashed MI and reached the finals.
