Pakistan squared off against Ireland for their last group stage match at Central Broward Regional Park in Florida. The Men in Green, bowling first, restricted Ireland to just 106 runs. 

In reply, the Men in Green showed intent with Mohammad Rizwan hitting a four in the first over. The Babar Azam-led side were cruising well but Saim Ayub failed to learn from his past mistakes and gave his wicket away with a loose shot. 

On the first ball of the 5th over, Ayub tried to play a pull shot, but mistimed it for a top edge and the keeper made no mistake behind the wickets.

Ayub was given a chance for the first time against Canada, where he also failed to score with the bat and amassed just 6 (12). In the ongoing match, Sam scored 17 (17), which featured two fours and a solitary six.
