They had to win both of their remaining fixtures heading to Florida in order to stay alive in contention, but the weather gods had other plans, as the match against the USA was abandoned on June 14.

Pakistan, on the other hand, haven't been any different either. They lost to the co-hosts USA in a thrilling super over, following which they stumbled against their arch-rivals India, a game that they should have won. 

But the Babar Azam-led side managed to open their account with a seven-wicket triumph over Canada on June 11 to stay alive in the contention. They needed other results to go in their favour, but the washout between USA and Ireland ended any hope of their qualification.
