In the thrilling 3rd T20I match between South Africa and West Indies on August 28, Shimron Hetmyer delivered a masterclass in batting, showcasing his formidable skills against South Africa's fast bowler Ottniel Baartman. 

With a DLS-adjusted target of 116 runs in 13 overs, West Indies looked to seal a series whitewash.

Baartman, who had the challenging task of containing Hetmyer, faced the full brunt of the West Indies' assault in the 9th over. Hetmyer began by driving a full delivery on the leg stump through mid-off for a boundary, displaying his impeccable timing and placement. 

He followed up with another expertly placed cut shot through point, exploiting Baartman's pace to perfection.

As Baartman attempted to regain control, Shai Hope joined the onslaught with a flawless extra cover drive, further dismantling the South African bowler's confidence. 

The left-handed batter then capped off the over with a deft flick over short fine leg, completing his third boundary and leaving South Africa's hopes in tatters.

West Indies won by 8 wickets (DLS METHOD)

Hetmyer's dominance, combined with Hope's steady support, guided West Indies to a comfortable victory by 8 wickets under the DLS method. This win not only secured the series but also marked West Indies' second-ever 3-0 sweep over South Africa in T20Is.
