Hope, who notched up a well-deserved half-century off just 34 balls, was the linchpin in their team's resounding victory over the Proteas men.

In the fourth over, Baartman bowled an over the wicket, full length outside the off delivery. Hope wasted no time as he got forward and lofted it over the long off for a 77m maximum. The sweet timing from Hope resulted in one of the best shots from the day.

WI started strong; Alick Athanaze and Shai Hope gave the hosts a brisk start, scoring 84 runs in 8 overs. Eventually, Shai Hope departed after a well-made half-century. Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran remained unbeaten on 65 off 26 balls, which included four consecutive sixes off Nandre Burger.
