The Sunday afternoon in Chennai belonged to India and its bowlers as Rohit Sharma and company toppled Australia for 199 on a slow turner. The Australian captain, Pat Cummins, won the toss to bat first in the much-anticipated clash between two champion sides. 

The match thus far has been a lop-sided affair, thanks to Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav, who shared five wickets between them. Jasprit Bumrah, who returned to professional cricket recently, bagged a couple of wickets. Meanwhile, the other three bowling options snapped a wicket apiece. 

Mohammed Siraj, the most under-used bowler among all regular options, bowled 6.3 overs to end his day with 1/26. However, the seamer got scolding from his captain after dishing a boundary ball to Mitchell Starc in the last over of the innings.

Siraj bowled a half-volley under Starc's blade, and the Australian swung his bat for a boundary past the pacer. After the boundary ball, Rohit got animated and was seen gesturing - "use your brains". 

Meanwhile, the Indian skipper went to his bowler and patted his back before Siraj could deliver the next ball. As a result, he foxed Starc on the following delivery as Australia tumbled for 199 with three balls remaining.

Thanks to the bowlers, India have got a modest total to chase in their World Cup opening fixture. However, the Aussie bowlers have it in them to challenge the Men in Blue in the chase of 200 runs.
