India's World Cup 2023 campaign is finally underway and Indian bowlers have produced a sizzling performance at the Chepauk as they have cleaned up Australia for 199. Indian spinners delivered to their billing and picked six wickets between them to derail Australia's charge. 

Rohit Sharma, India's skipper used six bowlers and all of them picked wickets, though Hardik Pandya bowled only three overs. He picked up a wicket of Adam Zampa at the backend, despite some pain in his fingers. It was the ninth wicket of Australia's innings in the 49th over of the game, which helped India restrict Aussies under 200.

Talking about the wicket of Adam Zampa, it was a full delivery on off. Zampa made room and tried to pump it over mid off. However, he did not get any timing and power behind his shot and ended up hitting it to Virat Kohli at mid off, who took it quite comfortably. 

The concern, though, is Hardik’s fitness. He did bowl but was seen struggling with his right hand’s middle finger. Hardik got hit on his finger when he tried to stop a strong shot from Warner off his own bowling. He is a critical asset for India with his all-round skills and India would be hoping that he is fit and ready to go for the big matches coming up in this home World Cup.
