Yuzvendra Chahal may not be part of Team India for the ICC World Cup 2023. Still, the earnest wrist-spinner's heart continues to beat for the national side as he wished Rohit Sharma & company the best before taking on arch-rivals Australia in their opening game of the tournament.

The experienced leggie sent his best wishes across for the Indian team before they entered the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for the high-voltage encounter against the Aussies in front of a packed crowd.

Chahal took to Twitter with a captivating image featuring all fifteen Indian cricketers part of the country's World Cup squad and gave it a motivating caption. The Haryana right-arm spinner hailed the nation with "Jai Hind" and boosted the team's morale with "Let's Go Boys!"

It was a selfless gesture from Chahal, whose absence from India's World Cup squad had raised eyebrows across the board and given way to widespread debates. However, the cricketer holds no personal grudge and had nothing salty to say about his longstanding teammates as they geared up for the mouthwatering Chepauk encounter.

Yuzvendra Chahal's Heartening Gesture For Team India

Taking to Twitter, Chahal unveiled a heartwarming post for Rohit & company before they entered the battleground for another riveting clash with the Aussies at the ICC World Cup 2023 and began their quest to regain the ultimate crown after 12 long years.

Chahal was the surprise omission from India's squad for the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka and found no vacancy in the team's preliminary squad for the World Cup on home shores. The cricketer, who struggled for form and control during the tour to the West Indies in August, was pipped over in the reckoning by young spin allrounder Axar Patel.

Patel was initially India's third tweaker in a spin department led by left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav and allrounder Ravindra Jadeja. However, an untimely hamstring injury to him provided off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin a backdoor entry into the plans for drier surfaces.

All that while Chahal continued to reel from the disappointment of missing out on another ICC event for India and opted to sign a short County Championship stint with prominent English domestic cricket club Kent.
