Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja made a significant impact by claiming the first wicket of the day. Azmatullah Omarzai in a thrilling 43rd match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 20. The promising Afghan all-rounder, fell victim to Jadeja's clever bowling and Axar Patel's sharp fielding.

The key moment came in the 12th over of Afghanistan's innings. Jadeja, bowling around the wicket, delivered a good length ball outside off. Omarzai, deep in his crease, attempted a powerful shot down the ground but misjudged it.

The ball came off the toe end of his bat and went straight to Axar Patel, positioned at long-on. Axar made no mistake and took a brilliant catch, sending Omarzai back to the pavilion with a score of 26 runs.

Earlier in the match, Bumrah scalped two crucial wickets of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and debutant Hazratullah Zazai in the powerplay.

At the time of this pivotal dismissal, Afghanistan was struggling at 91 for 5 in 14 overs. Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran were at the crease, striving to stabilize the innings against the formidable Indian bowling attack.
