After a comfortable eight-wicket victory over the West Indies, defending champions England will look to keep on the winning momentum on Friday (June 21) when they take on still-unbeaten South Africa in crucial Super 8's Group 2 encounter in the T20 World Cup 2024.

The match will take place at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, and it will get underway at 8 PM IST.

Led by flamboyant Jos Buttler, England have a settled core, with Phil Salt hogging all the limelight lately. However, they still have a few minor concerns to worry about, and one of them was the recent lacklustre form of Will Jacks, who wreaked havoc for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2024.

Jacks made 10 and 5 against Australia and Oman, respectively, before Buttler decided to bench him. But now, with the stakes are high, he could be back in the mix, considering South Africa have a stupendous bowling unit, and he could lead the counter-attacking approach.

Then who could replace Jacks in England's playing XI? Well, England have plenty of all-rounders in the unit, particularly the ones who can be handy with the spin. The West Indies conditions are suited for spinners more than fast bowlers, and therefore, the potential decision of Jacks' return should ideally bench his RCB teammate, Reece Topley.

Topley had a rough day against the West Indies, and hence, he could ideally be sidelined against South Africa. The rest, in all likelihood, will keep their places.
