India are in the driver's seat against Afghanistan as they have taken three wickets within the powerplay. The Men in Blue, batting first, posted 181 runs on the board. In reply, the Afghans started positively, but Bumrah struck in his first over to bring India back on track.

Soon after the first wicket, India had the chance to take another wicket, but Virat Kohli dropped a dolly standing at point. However, the dropped catch did not do much damage, as Rohit brought Axar into the attack for the 4th wicket and took a wicket on his 4th delivery to dismiss Ibrahim Zadran. 

Zadran tried to play the shot towards the cover area but hit it straight to Rohit Sharma, who took one of the easiest catches of his career.

At the time of writing this article, Afghanistan are 66/3 in 10 overs. It is the first super 8 tie for both teams. India are high on confidence and won all their group stage games as their last match was abandoned because of rain. Meanwhile, Afghanistan won their first three games, but faced a heavy defeat against West Indies.
