Riyan Parag got two wickets in two overs in his debut ODI game on Wednesday (August 7), when India took on Sri Lanka in the third and final match of the series in Colombo.

The 22-year-old, who got the debut cap from his idol Virat Kohli himself, began with an important wicket of Avishka Fernando on 96, and followed it up with the opposition skipper Charith Asalanka.

It was a beautiful skidder by Parag, and Asalanka, batting on 10 off 12 balls, left absolutely clueless while facing it. As soon as the ball hit Asalanka's back pad, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant appealed strongly. The umpire too did not take much time before raising his finger.

Asalanka had a little discussion and went for a DRS. It was a failure eventually, as the replay showed three reds on HawkEye.
