The 3rd ODI between India and Sri Lanka experienced a moment of sheer brilliance at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Debutant Riyan Parag stood tall against the Lankan lions, removing the troubling Avishka Fernando just four runs before his scintillating century.

However, the highlight of this moment was the celebration of Riyan, who left even his idol, Virat Kohli, behind in aggression. He threw punches in the air and celebrated as India got their second breakthrough and broke the partnership.

In the 35th over, Parag bowled a full-length delivery around the middle stump. Fernando was deceived as he tried to go forward for a block with a straight bat. The bat, however, played the wrong line. 

His arm was straight, and because of that, he got beaten by the inside edge and hit on the front pad. It was a classic plumb in front, and the umpire's decision to raise his finger in agreement gave Riyan Parag his maiden ODI wicket.

Both Fernando and Mendis engaged in a conversation; however, the latter did not look too confident about taking a review. Avishka walked back in agony as he failed to convert his brilliant knock of 96 runs into a well-deserving century. His innings consisted of nine boundaries and two maximums, and he received a standing ovation from his teammates, too.
