In the latest ICC ODI rankings, Rohit Sharma went above Virat Kohli, switching third and fourth positions just before India's all-important third ODI against Sri Lanka.

While Rohit, who smashed back-to-back fifties in the first two ODIs, is with 763 rating points, Kohli has 752, having had two disappointing outings.

In other news, Shubman Gill remains second with 782 points, way behind Babar Azam, who has bagged 824 points.

Notably, the numbers can change anytime, as India is all set to face Sri Lanka in Colombo. If Kohli manages to play a stellar knock, and Rohit somehow manages to fail, things can turn around yet again.

Tector At 5th, Pathum Nissanka 9th In Latest ICC Rankings

Talking about the rest in the top 10, Ireland’s Harry Tector occupies fifth place, followed by New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, Australia’s David Warner, and England’s Dawid Malan. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka, who played beautifully in the series opener against India, is ninth, with South Africa’s Rassie Van Der Dussen finishing things off in the chart.

India are currently 0-1 down in the three-match ODI series, having the first match got tied and followed by a heartbreaking loss.
