For the third time in a row, Rohit Sharma lost the toss in Sri Lanka before the all-important third ODI in Colombo. In the process, the Men in Blue are all set to bat first on all three occasions, with KL Rahul not in the mix of things after two poor outings.

In Rahul's absence, Rishabh Pant has been recalled, while Riyan Parag is all set to make his ODI debut, replacing Arshdeep Singh. For Sri Lanka, Maheesh Theekshana has come in to replace Akila Dananjaya, which is their only change in their playing XI.

IND vs SL 3rd ODI: Captains' Thoughts

Rohit Sharma

"Yeah, look, there is plenty to play for. Plenty to look forward to. We have been challenged pretty hard in the last two matches. It's clear as to what we need to do with the bat and ball. We've addressed what we need to do as a group. Thinking is pretty simple. We need to keep things simple."

"Sometimes, you need to give credit to the opposition as well. They have played very well. They have understood the position well. Another opportunity for us to correct."

Charith Asalanka

"We are going to bat first. It looks same as the last ODI. We have got one change. Maheesh Theekshana comes in place of Akila Dananjaya. Guys are doing really well. We are in a good posture. We want to continue in the same way."

"As a captain, I want to see if anyone scores a hundred on this pitch."
