Virat Kohli is the legend of the game, and has inspired many young cricketers all around the world. Riyan Parag is one of them and now ahead of his ODI debut, the young cricketer from Assam was handed his debut cap by the same man he has grown up admiring.

Riyan Parag has made his ODI debut for India in the third game of the Sri Lanka series and was briefed with a motivational speech by Virat Kohli while handing him his cap. He is the 256th  player to represent India in ODIs and Virat made sure that the occasion gets more special for him.

Kohli congratulated him and stated that everyone believes in his abilities and added that he is a special player. He mentioned that Rohit Sharma, selectors and everyone who is a stakeholder in the Indian cricket feels that there is something special and there is no better time to make debut when your team needs you to step up with series on the line.

Naturally, Riyan Parag was pretty emotional with all his teammates congratulating him with claps and hugs. He recently made his T20I debut too against Zimbabwe, and has shown glimpses of his talent with both bat and ball.
