Riding on Rishabh Pant's sensational diving catch, Navdeep Saini struck for the second time on day 2 of the ongoing Duleep Trophy match between India A and India B. The experienced seamer got the prized scalp of Mayank Agarwal off an ordinary delivery, thanks to Pant's stunning effort behind the stumps.

The incident occurred during the 16th over of India A's innings when Agarwal was trying to steady the ship alongside young all-rounder Riyan Parag following skipper Shubman Gill's dismissal. Saini, who had castled Gill earlier, erred in his line, bowling at Agarwal's pads and giving him an opportunity to collect some valuable runs.

However, the veteran cricketer from Karnataka failed to hit the ball past Rishabh Pant, who timed his dive to perfection and claimed a clean catch. From over the wicket, Saini bowled a good length delivery that came slightly into Agarwal, prompting him to play a leg glance.

But unfortunately for India A, the experienced campaigner failed to guide the ball properly, with Pant holding on to an athletic grab. Notably, the swashbuckling southpaw recorded a failure with the bat, as Shubman Gill's exceptional catch dismissed him for seven runs.

However, his valiant effort as India A's wicket-keeper signified his commitment to the team, showcasing the improvement in his fitness after recovering from a life-threatening car accident.
