The 64th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 features the home side, Gujarat Titans up against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The contest pips the two teams who have had opposite journey in the league stage.

While GT have qualified for the playoffs and will aim to finish in top-2, LSG have crashed out of the tournament and will play for pride in this contest. However, the side will be without their key spinner, Digvesh Rathi and here's why the Rishabh Pant led side has no Rathi in their playing XI.

Why no Digvesh Rathi in LSG's playing XI?

For starters, the controversial spinner had a spat with Abhishek Sharma in the last game. The spinner gave a fiery send-off, which didn't go well with the SRH opener as the duo had to be separated by the umpire.

As a result, Rathi was fined 50% of his match fee and was also suspended by the IPL for one-match. Hence, Pant will be without his key spinner for this clash. Rathi dismissed Abhishek and had an over the top celebration and as a result, he had a verbal spat with the batter and was suspended by the league.

Instead, Pant has replaced him with another spinner, Shahbaz Ahmed as they look for the win.
