Jitesh Sharma, the newly-appointed vice-captain of Punjab Kings, did a desperate dive while wearing the big gloves behind the stumps to save a certain boundary off Mitchell Marsh on Saturday afternoon, when PBKS were up against Delhi Capitals in Chandigarh.

However, he failed to get the success, as ball touched the boundary ropes before his hands reached there.

While facing Kagiso Rabada during the third over of Delhi’s innings, Mitchell Marsh attempted a pull, only to miss it. The ball touched the Australian all-rounder’s pads and was quickly going towards the boundary between the keeper and short fine.

Jitesh tried as much as he could to stop it, running like a hungry lion to save it. However, it was not enough to stop it, as the umpire gave it a four leg-byes after the ball went past the boundary ropes.

However, Marsh failed to continue his carnage, as Arshdeep Singh dismissed him for a 12-ball 20. At the time of writing, Delhi are 52/1 after 5.3 overs, with David Warner and Shai Hope in the middle, on 21* and 3* respectively.
