Ramandeep Singh was handed his maiden T20I cap by Hardik Pandya before the start of the third T20I against South Africa, and the man decided to start off with a bang, hitting his very first ball for a six. It was a fitting tribute to his skipper, Suryakumar Yadav who also started his T20I career with a six against Jofra Archer in 2021.

Ramandeep Singh Shows His Power-Hitting Skills

Ramandeep Singh walked out to bat in the 18th over after the wicket of Rinku Singh. Andile Simelane was bowling well and cleaned up Rinku Singh on the previous delivery with a lovely slower ball. He bowled a full delivery to Ramandeep first up and it was in the arc of the powerful right-hander as he launched the ball effortlessly over long on for a first-ball six.

It speaks a lot about the talent of the man and clean-hitting as always been his strength. He eventually scored 15 off 6 balls which included a six and a four and lost his wicket in the final over courtesy a run out.

Tilak Varma's Century Take India To A Massive Total

India though managed to post a massive score of 219 on the board with Tilak Varma smashing his maiden T20I century. He was promoted up the order at number 3, and the left-handed batter made the most of it with a fantastic hundred. Apart from Tilak Varma, Abhishek Sharma also batted well and scored a quickfire fifty while rest of the batters could not make significant contribution.

The series is levelled at 1-1 and it is upto South African batters now to get going straightaway and nail down the target on a flat deck at the SuperSport Park.
