South Africa have made a brilliant comeback in the third T20I against South Africa at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. The Indian team started of with flash as Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma played counter attacking knocks even after the early loss of Sanju Samson.
Aiden Markram put India to bat after winning the third consecutive toss of the series. Marco Jansen dismissed Sanju Samson in the first over and put India under early pressure. However, after this Abhishek Sharm and Tilak Varma showed great intent and decimated the South African bowlers.
Keshav Maharaj Brought South Africa Into The Game
Just when it was looking like India will run away with the game, South Africa started to make a come back. It started with the wicket of Abhishek Sharma off Keshav Maharaj's bowling. The skipper Suryakumar Yadav followed soon and India were under a bit of pressure, when Hardik Pandya walked out to bat.
Hardik Pandya Took A Clueless DRS Call
Pandya tried to bat steadily and build a partnership with Tilak Varma. However, Keshav Maharaj soon accounted for the India all-rounder. On the fifth delivery of the 13th over, Maharaj bowled a full delivery at the off and middle stump line. Hardik Pandya went down on one knee and tried to sweep across the line. However, he missed the ball and was wrapped on the pads.
There was a big appeal for leg before and the finger was raised by the umpire. Hardik Pandya went for the DRS, however it looked like a careless call from the experienced Indian all-rounder. As Pandya saw the replay on the big screen he started to walk off. Thus it looked like a waste of a call on Pandya's part to take the DRS.
