The first half of the 32nd match of IPL 2024 between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals turned out to be a nightmare for Shubman Gill and co. as they were cleaned up for their lowest total in IPL by a determined DC unit. 

They were bowled out for 89 and DC would have hoped to nail down the target with all 10 wickets in hand, GT bowlers though did not give up hope and managed to take four wickets in the Powerplay to give themselves something to smile after a disastrous batting performance.

The first one to go was Jake Fraser-McGurk while the second wicket was of Prithvi Shaw who was completely bamboozled by a pacy bouncer by Sandeep Warrier.  It was angled on middle and leg and Shaw was completely caught off-guard and tried to sway away from the line of the ball.

He could not get his bat out of the way though and the ball lopped up in the air towards short third man where Spencer Johnson took an easy catch.

After the wicket of Shaw, Abhishek Porel and Shai Hope also departed but DC notched up 67 runs in the first six overs itself which would surely help in boosting their net run-rate.
