Spencer Johnson won the mini BBL rivalry in IPL 2024 on Wednesday (April 17) during Delhi Capitals' ongoing clash against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The highly-rated left-arm fast bowler was up against Jake Fraser-McGurk, who made headlines already after striking hard against LSG in their previous outing, and he exacted revenge after deceiving him post thrashing.

With two sixes and as many fours, Jake Fraser-McGurk got the start he was looking for after coming to open in the absence of David Warner. The target was a below-par 90, hence, it boosted DC massively to improve their net run rate.

However, Johnson did not allow to continue the carnage. He followed Fraser-McGurk when the latter was making room outside the leg-stump. The flick which he hit the young Australian opener went straight into the hands of Abhinav Manohar, who was perfectly placed at short mid-wicket.

At the time of writing this, DC have raced to 72/4 after 6.4 overs, with 17 more runs required for 79 balls to pull off a huge victory.
