Riding on bowlers' clinical outing, Delhi Capitals bowled Gujarat Titans out for a paltry 89-run total in their ongoing IPL 2024 clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

They got an even better start to their innings, with Jake Fraser-McGurk taking on the GT bowlers right from the beginning.

Fraser-McGurk, who received an IPL call-up owing to his stellar performance in the BBL 2023-24, began his innings on an emphatic note.

As soon as skipper Shubman Gill handed the ball to GT debutant Sandeep Warrier, the explosive Australian demoralised him with some sensational hitting.

The youngster, who struck a breezy fifty in the last match, opened his account with a glorious six. As Warrier pitched it full to get some new ball swing, the swashbuckling opener hit it straight down the ground for a maximum.

Two balls later, he played an exactly similar shot, this time for a gorgeous boundary. He followed it up with two more powerful shots against his Australian colleague, Spencer Johnson, to collect twenty runs off just nine balls.

However, Fraser-McGurk couldn't convert his start to a big score, as Johnson dismissed him on the last ball of his over.

In the next over, Warrier got rid of Prithvi Shaw with a lethal bouncer, reducing the Capitals to 31 for two in 2.4 overs as of writing.
