One of the most embarrassing moments happened for Pretoria Capitals in the SA20 league game against SunRisers Eastern Cape at St. George's Park in Gqeberha, where they were bowled out for a record-lowest total in the tournament's short history.
Starting last year in 2023, SA20 have witnessed several top-quality moments, however, there have been numerous instances of poor performances with the bat as well. Something that Pretoria had to deal with as they couldn't face the class of SunRisers' pacers who cleaned them up for a paltry 52, the lowest in the tournament's two editions thus far.
Put into bat, Pretoria's English openers Will Jacks and Phil Salt departed early for 12 & 10, respectively. After that, it was just a struggle for the Capitals, who struggled against Daniel Worrall and Ottneil Baartman as they picked three and four wickets apiece, causing them to end their innings for 52.
The previous low was set by Durban's Super Giants in the last edition against Capitals only, as they were able to post 80 on the board. Here is the list of the other lowest scores:

Anyway, the game was finished within just seven overs by the Aiden Markram-led side with just one wicket lost as Jordan Hermann (20*) and Tom Abell (31*) took them to the winning shores, earning them a bonus point.
Pretoria are at the bottom of the points table with four points to their name from five games and will next play against SunRisers again on 25th January in Centurion.
