Indian Cricketer Harleen Deol Meets Her Idol MS Dhoni in Ranchi

There isn't anyone who does not admire former Indian World Cup-winning skipper MS Dhoni for his on-field persona and calmness. While many current players and celebrities have expressed their love and admiration for the current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, joining the wagon is Indian women's team all-rounder Harleen Deol, who, like others, idolises the wicket-keeper batter.

The pictures went viral in no time as they were posted on Instagram by Harleen, who also wrote a heartwarming caption that indicated her fondness for the 42-year-old.

She mentioned that it was her dream to meet Captain Cool, and now that it has happened, she idolises him as a person and not just a player.

“The moment which felt surreal. Cherishing every minute spend with my idol. It’s already cold in India But this my #captaincool moment … Have idolised you as a player but after meeting you I am gonna idolise you as a person as well …Still Can’t believe, I really met you.”

25-year-old Harleen, who hails from Chandigarh, last featured in the recently concluded ODI game against Australia, where she came in as a concussion substitute for Sneh Rana. Her next assignment would be the Women's Premier League 2024, which will be played from the last week of February till mid-March as she gears up to represent Gujarat Giants for a second consecutive edition.

Meanwhile, Dhoni has started his preparation for the all-important Indian Premier League, where he would again lead CSK after taking them to the title last time in 2023. All the fans will hope that he turns up well and fit after his recent knee surgery, which he underwent in June, as since then, the Ranchi-born has been in rehabilitation.
