Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cricketer and current player of the Odisha side in domestic cricket, Subhranshu Senapati, while batting against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy, played an unbelievable knock of 277 off a whopping 487 deliveries to take centre stage in Indore.

With the help of 19 fours and 11 massive sixes, Subhranshu put on a gigantic score, taking his team to an outstanding total of 498 in the first innings. This was his first double-ton in first-class cricket to go alongside six centuries that he has managed in a total of 46 matches.

The Elite Group D match held at Emerald High School Ground ended the game as a draw since MP replied with 318 in their first innings as Odisha enforced the follow-on, asking them to bat again.

However, in the second innings, MP only lost four wickets with 291 on the board, as they declared the match ended without a result. Harsh Gawli and Himanshu Mantri were the star performers from the home side since they helped them stay in the game for a long time.

Meanwhile, Subhranshu has been a consistent performer for his Ranji side and was also a part of CSK in the 2022 and 2023 seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL) under MS Dhoni.

Currently, Odisha are placed sixth on the points table in Group D, with one match lost and one drawn, as they hope to make an impact in the upcoming games.
