On Day 4 of the second Test against Pakistan, Bangladesh's Hasan Mahmud delivered a mesmerising performance that left the Pakistan batting line-up in disarray at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Mahmud's stellar display with the ball saw him claim a five-wicket haul, marking a significant milestone in his career.

The drama unfolded late on Day 3 when Pakistan began their second innings. Hasan Mahmud wasted no time in making his presence felt, dismissing Abdullah Shafique for just 3 runs. This early breakthrough set the tone for what was to come. Mahmud quickly followed up with the wicket of Khurram Shahzad, who was sent back to the pavilion for a duck.

Mahmud Completes Fifer After Mohammad Rizwan

As Day 4 began, all eyes were on Mahmud, and he did not disappoint. The highlight of the day was his dismissal of Mohammad Rizwan, a key figure in Pakistan's batting lineup.

This crucial wicket saw Pakistan teetering at 7 down, and Mahmud's jubilation was evident as he celebrated with his teammates.

Mahmud continued his rampage, removing Mohammad Ali and Mir Hamza, the latter after a dramatic review. Hamza, attempting to fend off a bouncer, was caught in the slips.

Hamza appealed for the DRS for the catch and the umpire stood with his decision. The umpire Asif Yaqoob has no conclusive evidence to overturn the decision, and Mahmud had his five-wicket haul.
